Gil is hosting a Saturday afternoon party in the park to highlight a popular part of his Parks for Everyone plan – allowing wine and beer in parks.
Talking with people from across Toronto, we have heard that residents want our city to follow the lead of most major cities in Canada, and around the world, by allowing the consumption of wine and beer in parks until 9pm all year round.
The event, to be held in a popular downtown park, will highlight how we can improve Toronto parks to create environments where social connections, recreation, and access to nature are accessible to everyone.
What: Parks for Everyone party in the park, with free cans of “beer”
When: Saturday, September 24, 2-3 p.m. EDT
Where: Trinity Bellwoods Park, West side of Queen Street entrance
